Responsible, recycling Tampere Hall

The values of Tampere Hall can be summed up as respecting people, cooperation, constant development, regeneration and efficiency.

Finland’s leading congress and concert centre Tampere Hall is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Tampere Hall has been a pioneer in environmental issues and has received several environmental awards for its efforts. Recycling is routine in Tampere Hall. The first and foremost intention is to control the amount of waste produced. At the moment 70% of all wastes from Tampere Hall are recycled. We are constantly on the look-out for new ecological and energy efficient solutions.

The staff of an international centre is constantly on the move. Tampere Hall pays 2% CO2 compensation for the flights of its staff.

Tampere Hall is delighted to welcome special groups. The facilities have been improved in cooperation with persons with different impairments in order to cater to all customers of Tampere Hall. Some of the improvements installed include ramps, automatic doors, induction loops, and colour contrasts on stairs and doors.

We at Tampere Hall like to carry out our share of social responsibility not only in words, but also in actions. A mentally impaired person has been working at Tampere Hall since November 2007.

We respect senior citizens, especially our veterans of war. Finnish veterans are welcome, free of charge, to all concerts produced by Tampere Hall and those of the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra.
Kanresta Tampere Hall Restaurants gives a 20% discount to veterans. Kanresta is a subsidiary of the Finnish Public Health Association and thus supports the association’s member organisations. These include The Finnish Heart Association, The Finnish Association for Mental Health and the Central Union for the Welfare of the Aged.
Kanresta Tampere Hall Restaurants is focused on using organic and local food.
