Antti Kajander & The Spanish Castle and friends “Still Got The Blues” – Gary Moore tribute concert.

Guitarist Antti Kajander takes to the stage of Tampere Hall’s Small auditorium with his acclaimed Spanish band, The Spanish Castle, and a brass section to celebrate Gary Moore’s music in this unique concert. The concert material will consist of guitar virtuoso Moore’s most bluesy solo productions.

“These are gigs and tours I’ve been thinking about and practicing for maybe the last 20 years or so. It’s this bluesier period of Moore’s career from the early 90’s that has always really appealed to me” Antti says.

Antti Kajander is a guitarist and singer who learned his guitar in England and has since then worked on many projects. Kajander has performed in the world premiere of the dramatised theatre version of The Who’s Quadrophenia album at Cardiff City Theatre and has been influential in London’s blues, rock and jazz circles. In recent years Kajander has toured Finland and Europe as a one-man orchestra and with Spanish Castle.

In addition to Kajander, The Spanish Castle is muddied by two of Andalucia’s most employed musicians, Venezuelan drummer Marcos Hostos and Spanish bassist Cañon Bass. The band has so far played mainly on the south coast of Spain. In February 2019, the band was seen for the first time in Finland and their concerts at Laurentius Hall in Lohja and Krapi Pajalla in Tuusula were met with great acclaim.

For this unique concert, the band will be joined by keyboard wizard Ilkka Joronen. The band will also be reinforced with a wind section and a backing vocalist.
