Tampere Chamber Music -festival

A word from the artistic director

In the middle of the beautiful and clean nature of Lapland stands an old tree all alone. Its small and rough appearance is strong and awesome. You can feel the power which the tree releases to its surroundings. In the middle of the nature’s voices, personal voice starts to get stronger and brighter. All alone, but as a part of the wholeness.

Tampere Chamber Music festival’s fourth year is in the centre of power. The power of music, empathy, gravity, muscle and mind. Science and art  encounter humans. Beethoven and Shostakovich will bring their timeless power which is transmitted through a fantastic group of artists in their personal voices. I get a tremendous amount of power only by thinking
about all what we will hear and experience in January.

Music and wellness will play together, once again in Tampere!

Warmly welcome,

Heini Kärkkäinen
Artistic Director of Tampere Chamber Music -festival
