Five enduring stars of Finnish schlager music are joining forces and heading on an extensive tour across Finland this October. As the name suggests, the Five Stars Tour brings five top artists to the stage: Marion Rung, Meiju Suvas, Virve Rosti, Ami Aspelund, and Anja Niskanen. They will be accompanied by an orchestra conducted by Esa Nieminen.

The tour will feature the artists’ greatest hits spanning several decades, along with surprises and special arrangements created exclusively for this tour.

– “There will be a dazzling parade of hits from many different decades. It’s an incredible honor to tour with these artists and this wonderful orchestra and revisit countless unforgettable songs,” says conductor Esa Nieminen.

– “It’s amazing to go on tour with these mature ladies. Everyone has an impressive career full of achievements, talent, and expertise. What I’m most looking forward to are Esa Nieminen’s arrangements, and I hope we’ll also get a shared medley like the Leidit Lavalla group once had — something that will still be remembered and played decades later,” hopes Virve Rosti.

The artists of the Five Stars Tour have Eurovision appearances, Syksyn Sävel competitions, and above all, a vast number of evergreen hits behind them that continue to be played on the radio time and time again. Marion Rung represented Finland at Eurovision in 1962 and 1973 and won Syksyn Sävel in 1977. Ami Aspelund represented Finland at Eurovision in 1983, and Virve Rosti in 1987. Anja Niskanen won Syksyn Sävel in 1984.

– “It’s a great joy to work with these wonderful and talented colleagues. Meiju and I have done a little together over the years, but this is my first time working with these other amazing artists. I believe we’ll have a lot of fun together, and it will surely show to the audience,” says Marion Rung.

– “When this group combines their energy, it will be an experience beyond imagination — something everyone must experience for themselves. I’m really looking forward to this explosion of female energy and sharing good vibes across Finland with these lovely soul sisters,” says Meiju Suvas.

The artists’ careers include countless hits such as Pure mua, Tää onnea on, Ollaan hiljaa vain, Fantasiaa, Mitt äppelträd, Kun Chicago kuoli, Tuolta saapuu Charlie Brown, El Bimbo, Hyvästi yö, and many more.

– “This will be a sparkling autumn and a fantastic concert tour! It’s wonderful to be part of this great energy,” say Ami Aspelund and Anja Niskanen.

Concert duration: approx. 2 hours 15 minutes, including an intermission.
