Critically Acclaimed Blues-Rock Band Brings Their 50th Anniversary Tour to Finland!

Awarded with eight gold records, one platinum, and one double-platinum, the legendary British band Foghat will perform in Helsinki and Tampere in May 2026 as part of their Slow Ride 50th Anniversary Tour.

Formed in England in 1971, Foghat celebrates two major milestones this year: 54 years since the band’s founding and 50 years since the release of their breakthrough hit “Slow Ride.”

Released in 1975, Slow Ride remains Foghat’s most commercially successful song. The eight-minute classic perfectly captures the band’s signature blues-rock sound — featuring slide guitars, infectious grooves, and extended jam sessions. The track continues to appear on numerous “greatest rock songs” lists and is still played on radio worldwide. Its frequent appearances in films and video games have helped keep Foghat relevant across generations.

With 17 studio albums to their name, Foghat remains an enduring force in the music world. Their latest record, Sonic Mojo (2023), debuted at #1 on the Billboard Blues Chart and stayed in the Top 10 for 34 weeks. Critics praised the album’s energetic mix of blues, boogie, and rock:

• Rodney O’Quinn – Powerful bass and vocals, previously with the Pat Travers Band
• Scott Holt – Former Buddy Guy guitarist; his voice and playing bring a fresh edge to the Foghat sound
