Glenn Hughes, best known as the former bass player and singer of Deep Purple, will arrive in Finland in November during his tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of Deep Purple’s album Burn. The concerts include tracks from Burn as well as other songs by Deep Purple.
Glenn Hughes, the bass player and singer of Deep Purple from 1973 to 1976, will tour the United States and Europe this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the album Burn, released in 1974. Hughes’ band is made up of Soren Andersen (guitar), Ash Sheehan (drums), and Bob Fridzema (keyboards).
When Glenn Hughes joined Deep Purple in 1973, the singer Ian Gillan and the bass player Roger Glover had just left the band. The legendary hard rock band’s guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, keyboard player Jon Lord, and drummer Ian Paice continued the story of Deep Purple with Glenn Hughes and David Coverdale. The first album by the new line-up, Burn, recorded in November 1973, was also the eighth album by Deep Purple. After its release, the album ranked well in the sales charts.
The concert will last about 2 hours and 50 minutes, including an intermission.
Changes are possible.
