Rock legend Jethro Tull returns to Finland: a deep dive into the band’s entire catalogue

Progressive rock pioneers Jethro Tull will perform in Tampere on Sunday, 9 August, as part of next year’s The Curiosity Tour. The concert offers a rare opportunity to hear music spanning the band’s entire career.

Having sold over 60 million albums, Jethro Tull has announced a new tour for next year titled The Curiosity Tour. Starting in Germany in February, the tour’s concerts will feature music from the band’s extensive discography of 24 albums—from their 1968 debut This Was to their newest release, Curious Ruminant, out this year.

“We started gigging in January 1968, performing regularly at the legendary Marquee Club in London. By the end of the following year, we were already playing theatres and concert halls—just like we do today. Our audience may have turned a bit grey, but at heart they’re as young as ever. And so are we; our fingers still fly across the instruments at lightning speed — just don’t ask us to program the TV remote,” the band’s founder, singer–flutist Ian Anderson grins.

On The Curiosity Tour, Ian Anderson is joined on stage by his longtime bandmates David Goodier (bass), John O’Hara (keyboards), Scott Hammond (drums), and the latest addition to the group, guitarist Jack Clark. The concert experience is enhanced by striking video projections running throughout the show.

Jethro Tull enjoys huge popularity in Finland and has performed here many times to sold-out audiences. The band last visited the country in spring 2025.

Concert duration approx. 2.5 hours, including a 30-minute intermission.

Programme subject to change.
