This year, on December 6th, the whole world will celebrate when the Children’s Independence Day celebration takes over Sorsapuistosali of Tampere Hall again!

The event will be in two parts and you can participate in the celebration either from 13:00 to 15:00 or from 15:00 to 17:00. The program content is the same in both parts. The event will be hosted in both Finnish and English.

The party is hosted by the children of Tampere Children’s Parliament and Veera Degerholm, known from Pikku Kakkonen. The event will feature a festive speech by Deputy Mayor Ilkka Porttikivi and a greeting from the Children’s Parliament. 

DJ Sara-Maaria, known from Tavara-asema and Klubi, will be playing best music mix for the dance floor. The children’s music band Loiskis will perform at the party, taking the party guests on a musical journey around the world. The Loiskis orchestra plays various instruments and in many different musical styles. The audience can also participate – sing, play and have fun. The fire art group Flamma will illuminate the party with LED light show. In addition, there will also be dance performances and dance lessons fby dance school Razzmatazz.

From Tampere City Youth service’s cafe, guests can buy small salty and sweet snacks with coffee, tea and juice. 

The event is suitable for the whole family, especially for 4-12 year olds. You can dress up festive, but each guest is free to come as they wish. 

The event is organised by Children’s Cultural Centre Rulla (Public Cultural Services), Tampere Hall and Children’s Parliament of Youth Services.

• Speech by Deputy Mayor Ilkka Porttikivi, speech by the Children’s Parliament and Maamme-laulu
• Dance School Razzmatazz performances & dance lessons
• DJ Sara-Maaria plays dance music
• Flamma’s LED light show
• Children’s music band Loiskis-trio performs
