Murder Mystery Dinner: The Witch’s Circle

Sometimes it’s better to leave the circle unclosed.

In 1926, a remote mansion located in the mountains of New England becomes the scene of a merciless bloodshed. The locked cellar of the house resting in thick fog has harbored multiple bodies and signs of occult rituals. The victims could not be identified as time and rats had done their work, and before a closer investigation, someone or something made sure only glowing ashes remained of the deceased.

The nearby village of Abbot Mill’s residents consider the place cursed, where the footsteps of passers-by are followed by panting sounds and a pressing feeling of being watched. The indigenous people believe a bloodthirsty monster, the Wendigo — a manifestation of fear that moves through time and place — dwells in the mountains. The local police cannot find a rational explanation for the events, and the ominous features of the case attract the attention of the federal Bureau of Investigation.

Doctor Marlow is sent by the United States Department of Justice. As he delves into the case, Marlow confronts not only the fragility of the human mind but also ghosts that have followed him his entire life — signs of the devil. Nightmare and reality blur as Marlow plunges deeper into the darkest recesses of the psyche. What is ultimately truth and what is illusion? Is the murderer a supernatural demon or simply pure human evil? Can you help Doctor Marlow unravel the horrific mystery before the madness of the case drags both the investigation and the investigator into the bottomless pit of darkness?

The Witch’s Circle is Tuoni Studios’ version of a gothic horror story and a tribute to H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, and other masters of the genre.
