In honor of the anniversary year, Show Must Go On has been renewed — and given an entirely new name as a tribute to the masters! We Are The Champions brings even more electrifying drive, fresh visuals, a new script, and new songs. This show will not leave anyone cold!
Fifty-five years ago, a band was founded that became perhaps the greatest of all time: Queen. And soon it will be 80 years since the birth of the greatest singer of all time, Freddie Mercury.
Now, more than ever, it’s time for a celebratory tour that pays homage to Queen and Freddie! The show is bigger than ever. We Are The Champions truly brings something NEW.
Freddie Mercury is portrayed by the phenomenal Mikael Saari, whose captivating Queen interpretations have previously been heard, among other places, in the Tähdet Tähdet singing competition. The wider public also remembers Mikael from the UMK competition final, where he has competed twice. In addition, Mikael has become a familiar face on the stages of Finland’s largest theatres, performing in and leading multiple musicals.
The show tells the story of Queen. Alongside it runs the story of the quirky Finnish band Bohemians and their chaotic quest for world domination. The Bohemians deliver stunning performances of Queen’s music — but their trip to London is full of mishaps. The production features a band that throws itself wholeheartedly into Queen’s rich, colorful soundscape, giving everything they’ve got — and more!
The show features Queen’s larger-than-life hits such as I Want It All, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions, Show Must Go On, Under Pressure, Another One Bites the Dust, Hammer to Fall, Barcelona, Innuendo, and many, many more.

Enjoy a buffet-style selection featuring, among other delights, locally produced cheeses, cold cuts, and mouth-watering marinated treats. Special dietary requirements are accommodated based on advance notice at the time of booking. A pre-booked seat at the antipasto table served before the performance €22.90. The table is set 1.5 hours before the performance begins on the 3rd floor of Tampere Hall. There is a bar in the space where drinks can be ordered on the spot. Check whether the menu is available for the performance and come enjoy!
