One of the world’s biggest blues rock artists, Zucchero, comes to Finland in October!
Zucchero, born Adelmo Fornaciari, released his debut studio album back in 1983 and celebrated his 70th birthday this year. A couple of years ago, the blues rock legend made a triumphant return to major arenas, and in 2026 he will once again tour across Europe. The tour, which includes two concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall, will also stop in Finland. Highlights from his more than 40-year career will resonate at Tampere Hall on Tuesday, 27th October 2026.
Over the course of his long and active career, Zucchero has reached remarkable milestones, including selling over 60 million records, performing as the first Western artist at the Kremlin after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and co-creating the Pavarotti & Friends charity concert series with Luciano Pavarotti. First held in 1992, these concerts were broadcast live worldwide for 11 years. Zucchero has also appeared at events such as Bono’s Net Aid benefit concert, Woodstock ’94, and the Rainforest Fund event mobilised by Sting.
The Italian star’s biggest hit, Senza Una Donna, was also released as a duet with Paul Young and remains a radio staple around the world. Zucchero has also enjoyed successful collaborations with artists such as Bryan Adams, Tom Jones, Eric Clapton, Miles Davis, Joe Cocker, and Ennio Morricone — just to name a few. Through these collaborations with numerous top-tier artists, Zucchero’s music has reached a broad international audience.
Zucchero’s long career has taken him far from his hometown of Roncocesi. To date, he has performed on five continents, in 69 countries and 650 cities. Among the many highlights of his career — including Grammy nominations — are a joint concert released on DVD as Live at the Royal Albert Hall with Luciano Pavarotti, Eric Clapton, Brian May, Solomon Burke and Dolores O’Riordan, as well as a performance to more than 65,000 people at London’s Hyde Park alongside world-class artists.
Remaining as active as ever, Zucchero has appeared in the 2020s in events such as the One World: Together at Home charity concert and the 50th anniversary celebration of Earth Day, where he performed a new Italian-language version of Bono’s Let Your Love Be Known. He also recorded the duet September with Sting for his D.O.C. Deluxe album and released his first cover album, Discover, in 2021.
Zucchero’s life has also been documented in the film ZUCCHERO – Sugar Fornaciari, which premiered in 2023. That same year, the legend toured Northern Europe with Andrea Bocelli and appeared as a surprise guest at Coldplay’s concert at San Siro Stadium in Milan. This year, he has focused on touring in support of the Spirito DiVino 30th Anniversary release, performing at stadiums across Italy, including a run of 12 concerts at the Verona Arena in September.
Programme subject to change.
