Taro Malinen: Memory of Water
Taro Malinen's works explore quiet moments in nature, where light, water and the surrounding landscape merge into one.
Information
Taro Malinen’s Memory of Water art exhibition is on display in Tampere Hall’s Winter Garden from 18 to 31 January 2027. Admission to the exhibition is free, and it is open according to Tampere Hall’s opening hours.
In Taro Malinen’s acrylic paintings, water serves as a mirror for the landscape and a medium for conveying atmosphere. The works explore quiet moments in nature, where light, water and the surrounding landscape merge into one.
Malinen is an engineer and artist inspired by nature and people, with a passion for capturing the landscapes and people of Finland. “My works are acrylic paintings, and my current body of work consists mainly of Finnish landscapes, with lake and forest scenery particularly close to my heart. I feel that the diversity, colours and tranquillity of nature deserve to be interpreted through art. I also create commissioned portraits and abstract works, as well as murals for interior walls,” he says.
