The Nordic region’s biggest pop duo, Marcus & Martinus, take over Tampere-talo!
Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen, originally from Trofors, Norway, are a true phenomenon. The identical twins, who are only in their early twenties, have enjoyed massive international success for over ten years and have established themselves as successful artists across Europe. One of their latest achievements is securing ninth place at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest with their song “Unforgettable.”
The duo rose to fame after winning the 2012 Melodi Grand Prix Junior singing competition. They are known for their catchy rhythms and radiant, high-energy performances. Their 2015 hit “Elektrisk” is the most-streamed song in Norway’s history, and more than five million fans follow their activities on TikTok.
Throughout their career, Marcus & Martinus have sold out Stockholm’s Globen Arena twice within minutes, opened for Jason Derulo, and performed at the prestigious Nobel Prize Ceremony.
Marcus & Martinus have also toured extensively in Finland. The duo performed to a sold-out crowd at Helsinki Arena in 2017 and 2018, in Kaisaniemi Park in the summer of 2018, and at Töölö Football Stadium in the summer of 2019.
