FAQ: Coronavirus situation in Finland and attending events
We at Tampere Hall keep up-to-date with all the latest developments concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Finland. We are following the advice issued by the Finnish authorities, Finnish Institute of Health and Welfare THL.
THL is monitoring the international situation with the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), developing guidelines for health care and laboratories, assessing the health risks related to the coronavirus and drawing up assessments of how the situation with the virus may develop.
The current situation in Finland gives no reason to cancel events. Attending events, concerts, seminars etc. is safe. Yet, we at Tampere Hall are prepared to update our guidelines according to the instructions of the authorities.
We apply our normal cancellation policies when organising an event at Tampere Hall. Force majeure clauses does not apply. This is a general guideline for venues Finland and in the Nordic countries.
We always take great care when it comes to cleaning and hygiene, and continue to do so. In addition, our security, customer service, lobby and other personnel will be extra alert during events.
The most important measures you can take to prevent the spread of the coronavirus are straightforward. These measures apply to all viruses that can cause flu and colds. It is always important to follow up these basic hygiene measures:
Wash your hands with soap regularly
Cough and sneeze on the inside of your elbow
Use paper handkerchiefs.
Coronavirus and all other viruses are transmitted from one person to another primarily through respiratory droplets when in close proximity, for example through coughing and sneezing. The effective spread of the new coronavirus through shared surfaces has not yet been detected. According to current estimates, the proportion of virus transmission cases involving surfaces is not considered significant.
