BUILDING CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE – MONETRA STAFF DAY AT TUULENSUU PALACE
Monetra’s staff day brought together nearly 300 employees at Tuulensuu Palace to focus on customer experience – in an inspiring setting where everyday life was left behind and shared insight was given room to grow.
When nearly 300 employees from Monetra’s Pirkanmaa unit gathered at Tuulensuu Palace for a training day, something special was in the air: their first collective session dedicated to customer experience – a moment to pause and reflect on what Monetra’s service feels like from the customer’s perspective, and how it can be developed together. From the moment the doors of Tuulensuu Palace opened, the everyday faded away. The warm atmosphere of the historic Art Deco venue made a lasting impression and provided the perfect setting for a day designed to inspire, engage and bring people together. “The setting was an absolutely perfect fit for this kind of event,” as Monetra’s Customer Relations Director, Irmeli Suontakanen, later remarked.
A space that invites you to pause
Tuulensuu Palace was chosen as the venue primarily for its accessibility: its central location in the heart of Tampere made arrival easy and convenient. Later, the privacy and tranquillity of the venue were highlighted as major strengths – the entire Palace was reserved exclusively for Monetra, creating a safe and focused atmosphere for shared learning.
The architecture and details of the Palace delighted participants. The venue combines a rich historical character with modern event technology in a way that creates a truly unique experience.
“The atmosphere of the Tuulensuu Palace added real value to the entire event – it fit the theme perfectly”

A shared goal: better customer experience
The programme consisted of inspiring talks and a panel discussion organised by Monetra. The discussion was moderated by Monetra’s CEO, Virpi Hämäläinen, and featured customers sharing their perspectives and experiences on collaboration and service. The dialogue brought tangible insight into where Monetra has succeeded – and where further improvement could be made.
Seamless collaboration with Talo Events
Talo Events was responsible for the event’s production, technical execution, front-of-house services, and catering. The cooperation was described as seamless and effortless. “We felt truly heard, received clear specifications and useful suggestions on how best to carry out the arrangements,” the organiser said. The technical setup worked flawlessly, and pre-checks ensured every detail was in place. Morning briefings and on-site staff made sure the programme ran smoothly and on schedule. “Everything went exactly as agreed and planned – the cooperation was truly straightforward,” the feedback concluded.
The breakfast service created a warm and welcoming start to the day. The menu reflected Tuulensuu Palaces emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients, with all dietary needs carefully taken into account. For future events, minor fine-tuning of buffet layout and guest flow was noted to make the experience even smoother.
Feedback and impressions
After the event, Suontakanen summarised the experience warmly:
“Thank you for an excellent execution in every respect. We had a wonderful event. The Palaces spaces were absolutely beautiful – truly movingly so – for hosting our staff day. The atmosphere was exactly right. We’ve also received great feedback from participants.”
The event was an excellent example of how the character and atmosphere of a venue, combined with meticulous production, can support a shared goal – in this case, developing customer experience.
“I can wholeheartedly recommend Tuulensuu Palace for similar occasions – the venue and collaboration with Talo Events perfectly supported the purpose of the day.”
