Certified responsibility in event services
Talo Events Ltd operations are EcoCompass certified, meaning that responsibility and environmental awareness are at the core of everything we do. The EcoCompass certificate is a testament to our commitment to continuous improvement in environmental matters and helps us minimise the environmental impact of our event operations.
However, we’ve chosen to go even further: we have voluntarily included the principles of social responsibility in our environmental programme. Our aim is to promote equality, wellbeing, and the realisation of human rights across all our activities.
The certificate, along with our own sustainability initiatives, guides our practical decisions – from energy efficiency and waste reduction to recycling and the wellbeing of all our stakeholders. EcoCompass ensures that by choosing Talo Events Oy, you are also choosing sustainable development and environmentally responsible events that reflect the values of our society.
Talo Events was awarded the Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) label in May 2025. The label is a recognition of our commitment to developing event operations sustainably – ecologically, socially, culturally, and economically.
The STF label is a sustainability recognition created by Visit Finland. It is granted to tourism industry operators who meet strict responsibility criteria and have completed a comprehensive seven-step development program. For us at Talo Events, the label is more than a symbol – it serves as a long-term tool and framework for advancing our sustainability work.
Earning the label required, among other things, the implementation of an environmental management system, staff training, development of sustainability communications, and a commitment to continuous improvement in our operations.
Talo Events is part of the Tampere Hall Group, whose parent company was awarded the STF label back in 2021. We are proud to be part of a network of responsible event organizers – and to be building a more sustainable future together with our partners.

We operate in our own prestigious venues – Tampere Hall and Tuulensuu Palace – but our event agency and congress services bring our expertise to any location you choose.
Corporate clients at Tampere Hall have the opportunity to offset the carbon footprint of their event as part of our sustainability services. This is made possible through our collaboration with Tampere Hall’s own carbon sink, which supports reforestation projects and strengthens biodiversity. In addition, we offer responsible choices for every aspect of your event – from sustainable catering and eco-friendly technical solutions to recycling systems.

Tampere Live – Sustainability at the heart of major events
Major events offer unique experiences – but they also carry a significant responsibility when it comes to the environment and society. At Tampere Live, sustainability is an integral part of how we plan and deliver our large-scale events, right from the very beginning. We are continuously developing our practices and expanding our sustainability programme to cover all the events we organise.
Sustainability has been central to the planning process of Radio Nova Festival, which will take place in summer 2025. We chose the EcoCompass certification because it supports the implementation of environmental responsibility across all the venues where we operate. In addition, we have defined specific measures within our environmental programme tailored to the festival’s needs. This is just the beginning – our goal is to expand these practices to cover all our future events.
