TUURE KILPELÄINEN EMBARKS ON A CONCERT HALL TOUR THIS AUTUMN
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Tuure Kilpeläinen and his band will embark on an extensive concert hall tour across Finland this autumn. The Suomalaisii unelmii (“Finnish Dreams”) tour will visit 13 cities and offer a richly textured musical experience that combines atmospheric acoustic arrangements with more rhythmic and energetic elements. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on Monday, June 8, at 9:00 AM.
“The starting point for my autumn tour is a clear and full-bodied sound, where the band performs with the acoustics of each venue in mind, allowing the lyrics and vocal harmonies to truly shine. The lineup includes violin, acoustic guitars, mandolin, double bass, piano, and beautiful backing vocals. There will also be some powerful moments, but delivered in a way that suits the more acoustic style. The goal is to leave a strong and nuanced emotional impression,” says Tuure Kilpeläinen.
The Suomalaisii unelmii tour will also offer a preview of new music to be released in the autumn, while naturally featuring the artist’s most beloved hits. According to Kilpeläinen, the themes of the Suomalaisii unelmii concept explore the Finnish state of mind in 2026, at a time when uncertainty and spiritual decline are attempting to gain the upper hand.
The expanded six-member band for the tour consists of:
- Tuure Kilpeläinen (vocals, guitar, harmonica)
- Jussi Jaakonaho (guitar)
- Antti Kokkola (violin, mandolin, guitar)
- Julius Sihvonen (keyboards, vocals)
- Ansku Mellanen (bass, vocals)
- Eliel Viitala (percussion)
Known for his dynamic live performances, Tuure Kilpeläinen has released 11 albums during his successful career—five as a solo artist and six with the band Kaihon Karavaani. His latest album, Odotin näpyä, tuli laaka, was released in October 2025. His music draws inspiration from classic soul, blues, rock ’n’ roll, folk, Finnish schlager, and country music.
A multiple Emma Award winner, Kilpeläinen has also composed music for documentaries and films, including Road North (Tie pohjoiseen). In addition, he has received the Kullervo Linna Award and the Iskelmä Finlandia Award.
