Celebrating 80 Years Since the Birth of Freddie Mercury
This year marks 80 years since the birth of Freddie Mercury, one of the greatest singers of all time!
To celebrate this milestone, Show Must Go On returns renewed and more powerful than ever, with even more energy, fresh visual elements, a new script, and new songs. This time, the focus is firmly on Freddie and Queen! This is a show that will leave no one cold.
The production is a spectacular celebration of Queen’s music, featuring outstanding vocalists, costumes and lighting faithful to the band’s iconic style. At the same time, it serves as a tribute to the memory of one of the most charismatic singers of all time, Freddie Mercury, as well as to Queen, the legendary band founded 56 years ago and arguably one of the greatest bands of all time.
Freddie Mercury is portrayed by the incredible Mikael Saari, whose captivating interpretations of Queen’s music have previously been heard, among other places, on the Finnish singing competition Tähdet, Tähdet. A wider audience may also remember Mikael from the final of UMK, Finland’s Eurovision selection, where he has competed twice. He is also well known for his performances on the stages of Finland’s leading theatres, where he has taken on leading roles in numerous musicals.
The show tells the story of Queen, accompanied by a professional band that throws itself wholeheartedly—and then some—into Queen’s rich and vibrant sound.
The show features Queen’s larger-than-life hits, including I Want It All, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions, The Show Must Go On, Under Pressure, I Want to Break Free, Hammer to Fall, Barcelona, Innuendo, and many, many more.
Event details are subject to change.
