BLACK SWAN: The untold story behind Swan Lake.
After five sold-out performances at Helsinki’s Savoy Teatteri in 2024, BLACK SWAN returns to Finland in 2027. This time, audiences across the country will discover the production that took Helsinki by storm.
BLACK SWAN turns Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece inside out. Set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, this production reimagines the beloved ballet as a darker, more intense journey: a psychological struggle where the line between dream and reality begins to blur, and nothing is quite what it seems.
The production is performed by the Szeged Contemporary Dance Company – S.C.D.C., one of Central Europe’s leading contemporary ensembles, celebrated on international stages for the mastery and daring of its dancers. The choreography is signed by Tamás Juronics, the company’s artistic director and recipient of the Kossuth Prize, Hungary’s highest distinction in the arts.
Spectacular staging and striking costumes build a powerful visual world, drawing the audience into a timeless universe, boldly reimagined. More than a ballet, BLACK SWAN is an immersive experience where dance and music merge. An unmissable event for lovers of classical ballet and contemporary dance alike.

Enjoy a buffet-style selection featuring, among other delights, locally produced cheeses, cold cuts, and mouth-watering marinated treats. Special dietary requirements are accommodated based on advance notice at the time of booking. A pre-booked seat at the antipasto table served before the performance €22.90. The table is set 1.5 hours before the performance begins on the 3rd floor of Tampere Hall. There is a bar in the space where drinks can be ordered on the spot. Check whether the menu is available for the performance and come enjoy!
