The Children’s Independence Day

The Children’s Independence Day Ball will once again take over the Sorsapuistosali at Tampere Hall!
Finland’s independence will be celebrated with a theme chosen by the children – Be Yourself.
This year’s celebrations will take place in two parts: 1 – 3 pm and 3 – 5 pm. The program content will be the same for both parts.
The party will be hosted by the children of Tampere Children’s Parliament and Veera Degerholm from Pikku Kakkonen. Deputy Mayor of Tampere Matti Helimo will open the event.
DJ Sara-Maaria, known from Tavara-asema and Klubi, will be playing best music mix for the dance floor. The music ensemble Naattiorkesteri will be performing with music full of great vocal harmonies, different instruments and skillful arrangements for the whole family to enjoy. There will also be dance performances by the children of Dance Studio Tanssittava and dance lessons for the guests.
Taikehile group will add sparkle to the party, and will create glitter make-up. There will also be plenty to do at Rulla’s art workshops and the Children’s Parliament activity point.
From Tampere City Youth service’s cafe, guests can buy small salty and sweet snacks with coffee, tea and juice.
The event is suitable for the whole family, especially for 4-12 year olds. You can dress up festive, but each guest is free to come as they wish.
