The moment Hevisaurus stomps onto the stage and the first beats of Jurassic heavy metal thunder through the venue, the atmosphere erupts. As the band sings in their song What Will I Be When I Grow Up?: “The walls shake, the roof comes down—when the chorus hits, everyone goes wild!”

The bravest fans dance right in front of the stage and might even get a high-five from their favourite dinosaur—or catch one of Riffi Raffi’s guitar picks!

Komppi, Momppi, Riffi Raffi, Milli Pilli, Muffi Puffi, and of course Mr. Hevisaurus put on an energetic and entertaining stage show guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages. Catchy songs, clever lyrics, and skillful arrangements, combined with high-energy performances and plenty of surprises, have made Hevisaurus concerts regular sell-outs. And don’t be surprised if the songs stay in your head long after the show—they come with a guaranteed earworm!

Formed in 2009, Hevisaurus is a family favourite featuring four dinosaurs and a dragon, created with the idea of making high-quality heavy metal for children—and anyone young at heart. The band has released nine studio albums and has twice won the Emma Award for Best Children’s Music Album. Three of their albums have gone gold, two have achieved platinum status, and their 2009 debut album, Kings of Jurassic Metal, reached double platinum in its first year alone.

Hevisaurus is much more than a touring band. Alongside recording music and performing hundreds of concerts, the band released its own feature film in 2015 and has staged several musicals at Helsinki’s Peacock Theatre. In spring 2024, Hevisaurus joined forces with the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra for the Symphonic Räyh! concerts, where audience favourites such as Räyh, The Last Mammoth, Lizard Disco, and The Space Garage received spectacular symphonic arrangements. Every concert sold out.

In recent years, Hevisaurus has quite literally taken its music around the world. Performing internationally under the name Heavysaurus, the band has gained a large following in German-speaking Central Europe, the United States, and beyond. Hevisaurus is rapidly becoming an international phenomenon—and before long, everyone will have heard the dinosaurs’ mighty heavy metal roar!

The concert is suitable for audiences of all ages.
