While Missy Mazzoli’s Symphony floats in the orbits of our solar system, Peruvian Jimmy López Bellido’s third symphony, “Altered Landscape”, encapsulates the global traumas of recent years in cinematic soundscapes: the Earth’s resources are depleting before our eyes, but Bellido’s message also fosters hope for a better future. The award-winning French pianist Lise de la Salle, praised for her poetic and mature piano artistry, finally brings her talent to Tampere.
