Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra performs some of Finland’s finest Finnish music on Independence Day. Soprano Helena Juntunen, who has conquered international opera stages, interprets, among other pieces, songs of Toivo Kuula, who died tragically at the end of the Civil War. The concert of blue-and-white melodies culminates with the most remarkable Finnish work of all time, Finlandia.

The concert is part of the orchestra’s subscriber series, and it doesn’t include an intermission. The concert ends around 4:15 p.m.

Changes are possible.
