Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s career and life ended with the “Pathétique” symphony, a musical confession letter. The work depicts forbidden love, a stormy life, and the force of fate in unforgettable melodies. In Ukrainian composer Victoria Polevá’s Symphony “White interment”, an eternal snowfall transforms into hypnotic harmonies in the spirit of so-called sacred minimalism.
