You are warmly welcome to a sing-along evening at Tampere Hall’s Small Auditorium! Internationally acclaimed opera star Mika Kares, together with pianist Tuukka Vähätalo, invites you to a concert where the audience becomes an essential part of the performance.

The sing-along evening, first organized in Eurajoki in 2014, has grown into a beloved tradition — and in November, this tradition arrives in Tampere. The evening offers the joy of singing that brings together people of all ages and backgrounds. The program features familiar tunes and surprising gems that inspire and challenge everyone to sing with heart and passion.

The event’s lead singer, bass Mika Kares, guides the audience through each piece with full expression and enthusiasm. Together with Kares and Vähätalo, every participant will experience what it feels like to sing with great emotion and an open heart, as part of a shared musical moment.

Special attention has been given to the song selections, which include musical challenges related to lyrics, rhythm, melody, harmony, and vocal range. The evening includes 20 sing-along pieces, commentary by Mika Kares, and surprise performances.

“I began developing this sing-along concept in my hometown of Eurajoki in 2014. It became an integral part of the Eurajoki Bel Canto classical singing festival, while also serving as a local community event. Over the years, we’ve held more than twenty of these evenings. The core idea is that anyone can come and sing songs ranging from opera arias to tangos, art songs to musicals, and evergreens to children’s songs,” says Mika Kares.

The duration of the event is approximately 2 hours, including an intermission.

The restaurants Majakka and Fuuga, located on the second floor of Tampere Hall, serve guests before the concert and during the intermission.
