Iconic guitarists Joe Satriani and Steve Vai have formed a new band – SatchVai Band to perform in Finland this June!
For the first time in their nearly 50-year careers, legendary guitar icons Joe Satriani and Steve Vai will be seen performing together in the same band. Satriani’s and Vai’s individual bands joined forces and embarked on their first joint tour in the U.S. last spring, followed by their first musical collaboration in March 2024. The Sea of Emotion, Pt. 1 showcased the synergy between the two legendary guitarists as they took turns soloing throughout the nearly six-minute piece. Their second collaboration will be released ahead of the upcoming European tour.
Joe Satriani’s and Steve Vai’s musical careers have been intertwined since their early days. Satriani was Vai’s guitar teacher during their teenage years in New York. Their connection has grown over the years, with the duo even sharing record labels. Along with a third guitarist, they have frequently performed together both in the U.S. and internationally.
