In a world that moves faster every day, Terra Mater – A Vocal Odyssey to Mother Earth is an invitation to slow down, to listen, to reconnect—with ourselves, with each other, with the earth. Through the raw power of the unaccompanied voice, Les Itinérantes revive an ancient practice: singing as a bridge between past and future, between the human and the sacred.
This programme is an ode to Mother Nature and to the sacred feminine in all its forms – wild and tender, fierce and nurturing, raw and celestial. With songs in 12 languages, spanning centuries and continents, the french trio Les Itinérantes explore the many faces of the feminine, celebrating its strength, its depth, its infinite complexity.
In addition to these ancient songs, Les Itinérantes also sing in invented languages, weaving their own compositions into the performance. These vocal journeys invite the listener into a realm where imagination takes flight, where language becomes a tool for magic, and where sound transcends the boundaries of the known world.
Three voices in harmony, resonating with the purity of the first instrument humankind ever knew. In a time of noise and acceleration, Terra Mater offers a moment of pause, a space to reflect, to feel, to travel through sound.
Come and listen – not just with your ears, but with your whole being.
