The audience will have the opportunity to see and hear how the ordinary, little Seela Virtanen grew into the beloved actor and honorary doctor of theatre arts.
Tampere-born Seela Sella is a highly respected Finnish actor with a career spanning more than six decades in theatre, television, and film. Her acclaimed and beloved artistry is characterised by strong presence, depth, and warm humanity.
Sella has received numerous significant recognitions, including the Alfred Kordelin Prize in 2000, the State Prize for Theatre Art in 2009, a Jussi Award, and the Pro Finlandia Medal in honour of her distinguished contributions to culture.
Sella will be interviewed by journalist, columnist, and media personality Ruben Stiller. Stiller has been a prominent voice particularly in Yle’s discussion programmes and podcasts, where he explores social and political themes with the aim of inspiring thought and provoking constructive dialogue.
