Danish conductor Thomas Dausgaard brings the sounds of Romanticism from the heart of Scandinavia to Tampere. Johan Svendsen’s Second Symphony is a rarely heard gem, while Carl Nielsen’s Fourth Symphony, portraying unquenchable zest for life, is among the Danish composer’s most beloved music. Andreas Brantelid will perform his showpiece, the Rococo Variations, which nods to 18th-century elegance.
