Tampere Hall to raise awareness of childrens’ wellbeing

Tampere Hall raises awareness of childrens’ wellbeing by taking part in two non-profit campaigns in November. The outer suface of the building will be coloured in blue on 20th of November to celebrate UNICEF’s World Children’s Day, an annual day of action for children worldwide. Within the blue illumination, Tampere Hall shows support for child rights. This year is special as it marks 30 years of the Convention on the Rights of the Child – 30 years of child rights that have helped transform children’s lives around the world. Earlier this month, on 17th of November, the building was illuminated purple on World Prematurity Day . The campaign raises awareness of the challenges and burden of preterm birth globally. The day was initiated by EFCNI (The European Foundation for the Care of Newborn Infants) and partnering European parent organisations in 2008. The World Prematurity Day aims to improve the situation of preterm babies and their families. The colour purple stands for sensitivity and exceptionality. Tampere Hall supports non-profit campaigns regularly by lighting up the building in different theme colours. – At the core of our corporate social responsibility is to help to raise awareness of significant issues in our society, Tampere Hall CEO Paulina Ahokas says.
