Sanomisen paikka: News media and sustainability in the same sentence? Yes!
A discussion event focusing on sustainability and responsibility in the main lobby of Tampere Hall. Welcome!

Tietoa tapahtumasta
Welcome to join the discussion at the Lobby Club in the main lobby of Tampere Hall on Thursday, November 28th, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.
We rarely mention news media and sustainability in the same sentence. Why is that? International agreements and commitments related to sustainable development also apply to the media industry. But news media is more than just industry. It is about producing reliable knowledge that enhances understanding of our common world, its present state and its future. What makes news media sustainable, and what on earth is sustainable journalism? Welcome to take part into eye-opening discussion on the topic, chaired by Tampere University students!
Panel discussion participants:
Sanna Keskinen, editor-in-chief, Aamulehti
Anni Valtonen, editor-in-chief, World’s Pictorial Magazine
Kristiina Markkanen, journalist and global citizenship specialist, Vikes
Markku Turunen, professor in Computing Sciences and Interactive Technology, Tampere University
Event changes may occur.
Production by Proakatemia (TAMK) and Tampere Hall Ltd.
