Moomin Museum Midwinter cancelled due to weather conditions
The Moomin Museum Midwinter event is cancelled because of the weather conditions. The event was scheduled to take place at the Sorsapuisto Park in Tampere, on March 2 2019, but due to the slippery ice and the lack of snow, the current condition of the park doesn’t allow organizing a safe and atmospheric event. The decision to cancel the event was made in cooperation with the City of Tampere.
The week of February 25 to March 1 marks the winter holiday for the schoolchildren in Tampere region, and there is plenty of Moomin fun yet to enjoy at the Moomin Museum, located in Tampere Hall. Visitors can listen to a Moomin story, admire the original Moomin illustrations and tableaux, and enjoy some music by the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra’s musicians. The museum’s Atelier offers a graphics workshop inspired by music and animals. On Saturday March 2, the Moomin Museum is open for longer than usual, from 10 am to 9 pm. As a special offer, the entrance fees are lower as well: 10 euros per adult and 5 euros for children. Explore the museum further here.
