See cellist Markus Hohti and pianist Emil Holmström in the debut concert of their long-awaited Brahms album, featuring visiting violinist Sirkka-Liisa Kaakinen-Pilch.
Cellist Markus Hohti and pianist Emil Holmström will release their Brahms album (Alba Records) in February and are celebrating it with a tour, with each concert welcoming a visiting local musician. In Tampere, this visitor is the renowned violinist Sirkka-Liisa Kaakinen-Pilch, who works as a performing artist and teaches violin at the Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
The concert includes Brahms’ Cello Sonata in F Major and Piano Trio in C minor featuring the visiting musician, as well as Piano Trio in G minor, composed by Clara Schumann, who was close to Brahms.
