Tampere-talo Group
Tampere-talo Ltd. and Talo Events Ltd. will form the Tampere-talo Group starting from the beginning of 2024.
The Tampere-talo Group
As of January 1, 2024, Tampere Hall Ltd. will be divided into a new company structure. In the new corporate model, the parent company focusing on the promotion of culture and art will be Tampere-talo Ltd., and the subsidiary company, concentrating on commercial activities will be Talo Events Ltd.
Tampere-talo Group is Finland’s largest and most diverse event company in terms of repertoire, events, and visitor numbers. We operate in Tampere Hall and Tuulensuu Palace, and we also produce events and concerts outside these venues throughout Finland.
Tampere-talo Ltd.
Tampere-talo Ltd., serving as the parent company, focuses on promoting culture and art. Tampere-talo makes culture more accessible to various target groups through concert activities, Tampere Opera, visiting stage, and its own original concepts.
An important goal of the company is to produce events that are affordable or entirely free of charge. In addition, the parent company takes care of the Tampere Hall property and its long-term tenants.
In addition, the venue houses the full-scale Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, the à la carte restaurant Tuhto, and the world’s only Moomin Museum. Adjacent to the hall is the Courtyard by Marriott hotel.
Tampere Opera
Tampere Opera has been in operation since 1946, producing high-quality opera productions as well as the activities of the opera choir.
Tampere Opera operates with visiting forces, and the Tampere Philharmonic serves as the opera orchestra. The extensive production, which attracts an annual audience of approximately 10,000 spectators, is presented every spring at Tampere Hall.
Several world-renowned artists have performed as soloists, including Karita Mattila, Soile Isokoski, Jaakko Ryhänen, Jorma Hynninen, Marjukka Tepponen, Mika Kares, Tuuli Takala, and Tuomas Katajala. The productions have been directed by notable directors such as Ralf Långbacka, Jussi Tapola, Jukka Kajava, Arne Mikk, Kari Heiskanen, Marika Vapaavuori, Marco Bjurström, and Tuomas Parkkinen.
Visiting Stage
We bring internationally high-quality orchestral visits, dance and circus art visits, as well as diverse performing arts productions and ensemble visits to Pirkanmaa.
Tampere Hall is known for its international ballet visits, including the recent performances of the Estonian National Ballet’s Alice in Wonderland (2021), the Latvian National Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet (2022), and the Finnish National Ballet’s Swan Lake (2023).
Other own productions
Tampere Hall is a versatile concert and cultural venue that offers a wide range of concert content as well as comprehensive performing arts productions and premieres. Our concert activities consist of classical music and popular music, and we also include events for children and family audiences.
The acoustics of Tampere Hall are excellent, making it a popular venue for music performances. Concerts are held in halls of various sizes, providing options for the intimacy of smaller events or the grandeur of larger spectacles.
Tampere Hall actively produces performing arts content both independently and in collaboration with other entities, such as the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra. Tampere Hall plays a central role in the internationally recognized Tampere Chamber Music Chamber Music Festival.
Talo Events Ltd.
Talo Events Ltd., operating as a subsidiary company, focuses on renting event spaces such as Tampere Hall and Tuulensuu Palace to corporate clients, selling meeting and congress services, and organising corporate events.
In addition, the company engages in program, restaurant, and retail activities, as well as promoter business, producing commercial events and concerts.
